BLACKJACK

How to Play

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino card games. The object of the game is to have your cards total 21 or as near to 21 as possible without going over. Everyone plays against the dealer (the house) who begins the game by dealing each player two cards and the house one card face-up. Cards are counted at their face value. Kings, Queens and Jacks count as 10. Aces count as 1 or 11. If the first two cards you are dealt total 21, you have a Blackjack.

Side Rules

Under HOW TO PLAY the basic rules of Blackjack are described. In addition, numerous side rules allow for more intricate betting strategies.

INSURANCE:

When the dealer’s face-up card is an ace, each player gets the chance to bet on whether the dealer will get a blackjack or not. This is done before any other player actions.

The insurance bet can be maximum half of the players original bet. A winning insurance bet will be paid at odds of 2:1.
